Every year the dedicated members of the Charleston Trees committee honor a selection of the most outstanding trees in the City of Charleston. From limb structure to health and vigor, the criteria for the winning trees is specific and aimed to honor only the best of the best that Charleston has to offer.  These passionate committee members spend a day visiting all of the nominated trees for their annual awards ceremony held every year during the Charleston Horticultural Society’s (CHS) April lecture.

The awards honor trees in 5 different categories: Residential, Commercial, Ecclesiastical, Public, and Non-Profit. The Charleston Trees committee bases their decisions on nominations from members of the community and of course our wonderful CHS membership. Charleston Trees invites you to join in by submitting your own nominations for outstanding trees for their 2014 awards. If you admire a beautiful and healthy tree in your neighborhood, business or any public or commercial area in the City of Charleston simply take a photo, print and fill out THIS NOMINATIONS FORM, and mail it to CHS following the submission guidelines below:

How To Nominate a Tree:

  1. photograph the tree you are nominating
  2. print out THIS form and fill out completely
  3. send in the form (along with the photo) c/o Charleston Trees 46 Windermere Blvd. Charleston, SC 29403
